Undiagnosed condition for numerous physical problems

Submitted by Anonymous (not verified) on

My husband has been to a neurologist because he has lost feeling in his lower body (from midchest to feet). He also cannot walk without crutches as the muscles in his legs have atrophied and his right knee is bad (orthopedist says he needs a knee replacement). In addition, he has lost feeling in his fingertips and parts of his face. He also has head tremors and cannot focus his eyes to read. The neurologist doesn't know what is causing it: thus, he has no specific diagnosis. We don't have insurance to cover the numerous medical tests he was told he needs in order to pinpoint the problem. Will he be able to get disability benefits?

Thanks,
Joan
