Hi there,
I would not be able to say if your child would be approved because the SSA would have the final say there, but he may be able to receive benefits based on your income and resource levels. It may be a good idea to apply. Also, you may want to speak with a disability advocate or lawyer, this may help your chances to be awarded benefits for your child. If you fill out the form on the left of this page or go here:

we can have one reach out to you.

I currently have severe dizziness 24/7 and cannot work or drive a car. Will I approve. I am currently seeing a doctor. For over 13 years, my doctors have tried everything, and there is no cause or treatment as yet. I am receiving Social Security every month. Can I quality for SSI and while receiving Medicare.

Hi Roland,
You may be eligible for SSI, but it would depend on your income and resources, and the SSA's rating of your condition.

Hi Robert,
Absolutely. In fact, his claim will be expedited due to his VA disability rating. He should be approved in as little as 10 days.

I have Stage IIIb melanoma which is a recurrence of a Stage I melanoma in 2013. I also have a liver disease called PBC (Primary Biliary Cirrhosis). I am not working at this time. I am scheduled for the week of August 28 to have surgery to remove my lymph nodes in my groin then will be starting treatment. Do I have to wait until three months of treatment is over before I can be considered for Disability.

Hi Esther,
You may not need to wait, if you're unable to work you may be eligible for benefits. However, many people are denied on their first application. It may be a good idea to speak with a disability advocate or attorney, as they can help you through the process of appeals. If you fill out the form here:

We can have one reach out to you.

Hi there,
You may be able to be approved if you can provide evidence of your conditions, and how they affect your ability to work.
