Hello,

Social Security income is almost never taxable and you may not need to file a tax return (your benefits would have to be unusually generous for the income to be taxable).

Best Wishes,
Eric

I received a lump sum of 12,000.00 and then my disability started in May. I did not get an earnings statement. I am so confused. Do I need to file taxes on my disability?

when you get a big lump sum from SSDI and then you have to pay back all your lump sum to your long turn insurance carrier,do you have to pay taxes on it.

I have had taxes taken out of my monthly SSI since November 2016 to March 2017, I had misunderstood this program I thought I was able to claim my grandkids when I Done taxes but it's not true after I met with an H&R Block representative. Due to the fact I wish to discontinue of taxes taken out of my monthly SSI will I be able to get reimbursed for the months of January, February, and March? Will I need to go to the office to get this done? Please let me know so I can discontinue these taxes taken out...
