Confused about total annual amount I can earn...

Submitted by Anonymous (not verified) on

I know that I can't earn more than $800 a month for 9 (non-consecutive) months, but what if I earn $2000 one month and $800 several other months? Do I need to add up my total income for the year and make sure it doesn't exceed a certain amount? What is that amount that I can earn per year, total? Thank you!!!

Hi there,
If you're eligible for a trial work period, it would not matter if you earned $840 or $2000 a month, you would still be eligible for benefits until your trial work period ends. There's no set amount you would be able to earn, you would receive benefits and have any successful trial work months counted towards your trial work period regardless of amount.
