YEs, get Medicare part B, it pays the Doctors. Part A you get automatically, and that pays the hospitals. There is a deductible on the part A, if you are ever hospitalized.

IF You don't get part B WHEN YOU BECOME ELIGIBLE, YOU WILL BE PENALIZED. WHen you do,sign up, and Part D also, you will be penalized. Tghere is a deductible also on Part B.

Hi Cindy,
Thanks for sharing! It's true, you may be penalized if you become eligible for Medicare and do not enroll for Part B.

Hi Lauri,
You have paid into Medicare Part A, which is the hospitalization benefit. Medicare Part B is a separate insurance benefit that covers doctors visits and medical equipment, and it comes with a monthly premium.
