Hi Leaundrea,
That's not good. Have you been diagnosed with a mental disability? You will need an accurate diagnosis to have a good chance of being approved for benefits.

Hi Rita,
I am sorry to hear that. We are not affiliated with the SSA so there is unfortunately nothing we can do to rectify the matter.

Hi Keri,
If you were disqualified from SSI benefits, the only way you'll be able to become qualified again would be to continue taking medications or doing the activities you did once on SSI benefits.

Hi Jillian,
Sorry to hear that. If you have a job now, you will not be able to apply for benefits. You have to be so disabled you cannot work at all to qualify.

My 4 year old daughter has been diagnosed with a developmental delay, including adhd and anxiety. My husband has been out of work to since she was three to take care of her including therapy and Dr. Apts. Can I file a claim for her disability? and if so how do I file?

Hi Jennifer,
It seems like you can, however I would consult the SSA regarding your eligibility, they also have resources about applying for SSI benefits for children as well. You can find the Child Disability Starter Kit Here:

Hi Amran,
We're not affiliated with the SSA, I would contact them for more information regarding work authorization and social security. You can contact them at
