degenerative disc disease and arthritis

Diagnosed 2 years ago at 37 after an MRI. I lost my job after missing work due to paid and mobility. I was hired back 6 months later after telling my employers that my back no longer hurt so I could support my family. I live in intense pain though and I'm scared for my future. Can i get SSD if my only medical records of this are from the initial Dr. and MRI imaging center I got the diagnosis from.

Hi there,
You may be eligible for benefits if you've been out or work for a year or more and your condition made you unable to work during that time.

About to have a 2nd surgery on my back. 1st surgery L5s1 disc removed. Now it's a degenerative disc. My Dr had me take another exray few days ago. He explained and showed me how my disc is on my nerve and it's no good. Haven't worked in 2 yrs. Do you think I could try and get disability? Thanks

Hearing 2/15/18 ssa website states step 2 of 3 processing. I thought the ssa website states 5 steps.

Hi Susan,

If you can prove you meet a Blue Book listing, or can prove that you are unable to work as well as have enough work credits, then you may have a chance of approval. Make sure you add as much medical evidence as you can to help support your claim.
