Question about benefits

Submitted by Anonymous (not verified) on

I don't see my original post so re-posting and added a little more information.

So, I live in Michigan, and I've been getting SSI ($750/month) for a couple years now due to a few disabilities, and ever since I recently moved into my own place I've been having trouble making ends meet, and am usually broke within the first week left with pennies for the rest of the month.

I've done a small amount of research already, but I was wondering if anyone knew of any possible way at all to increase how much I get each month.

Thank you for reading!

The best way to find out if you can increase your SSI is to contact the Social Security Administration at 800-722-1213 to apply for an increase over the phone, if you're not already at the maximum. Alternatively, you can visit your local Social Security office to find out more information.
