SSDI and driving for UBER

Since the hours and pay are all up to what you do individually, how do we report it to SSDI? And how often? It's confusing trying to research this topic.

It would be considered earned income. To apply or keep your disability benefits you can have earned income, but you will have to keep it below a certain amount. If you earn more than the "substantial gainful activity" (SGA) limit, the SSA will assume you can do a substantial amount of work, and you won't be eligible for disability benefits. In 2018, the SGA limit is $1,180 per month (or $1,970 for blind applicants).
