I was barely able to work 20 hours a week (4 hrs a day with alternate standing and sitting very frequently and weird sitting to get out of pain) before being medically retired. I have a failed fusion, ddd in cervical and lumbar, bulging discs in cervical lumbar, flattening of the thecal sack in two places on my lumbar spine, mild disc desiccation in two places, loss of disc height, and mild hpertrophy and arthropathy. I was disqualified for SSDI and told I could do part time work. I have sent in for reconsideration and waiting on a reply. I can't sit or stand long or even walk long. All they can tell you is no...so apply. I am 52.

Hi Brenda,
So sorry to hear that. Have you considered contacting a Social Security disability attorney? He or she could help represent you in court if your reconsideration is not approved.

Sorry for the confusion Deanna. I was posting in response to Anonymous. Letting them know I have similar issues, that I was denied but to file anyways because you never know with SSDI.

I would like you to make the necessary changes to deduct State & Federal taxes from my SS account.

Hi Antonio,
We are not affiliated with the SSA, and we would not be able to do so because of that. Please contact them at 1-800-772-1213 or at www.ssa.gov

I had 2 surgeries on my back that failed 20 yrs. ago. I had a disk replaced in my neck (fusion) which left symptoms down my right arm 10 yrs. ago. Now I had 2 fusions in my lower back now I can not stand walk or sit for very long at any time I am left with numbness and pian down my left leg and foot. Not to mention when my neck was done I lost my job and was out of work for 2 years. Do you think I possibly should get deserve to receive SSDI benefits also I am 57 yrs. old.

Hi Randy,
You may be eligible for disability benefits. It may be a good idea to speak to a disability advocate or attorney about your case, they can help you through the process and help you appeal a denial ( 70% of all initial applications are denied). If you fill out the form on the left or go here:
http://www.disability-benefits-help.org/form/free-disability-evaluation

we can have one reach out to you.
