freind on mental disability

If someone is on a mental disability and unable to work getting ssi housing food stamps and free medical ,,,,should they be babysitting a 18 month old, also they are constantly selling things to make extra money, and also buying....if they can baby sit for a full day, a 18month old that needs diaper changing an constant care they should be able to work....am i wrong...just wondering...this person has been in the hospital mental ward numerous times. who can she care for a child..this worries me. and what is she is not claiming the money she makes, because she is buying things all the time..

Hi there,
Although caring for children is difficult, it's definitely different that working a full time job. Just because someone is unable to work a full time job does not mean that they are unable to care for a child.

Additionally, unless you know this person is not claiming their income made from selling things, they may not be doing anything wrong.
