Submitted by Anonymous (not verified) on

If i am currently on SSDI and Medicare due to disability. However, i will turn 65 soon and i am being told that my SS income and/or Medicare benefits may change when i turn 65. Is that true and if yes, will SS automatically change the amount of my check or do i need to contact them?
Do in need to notify Medicare that i will be 65 soon?

Hi There,

Your SSDI will automatically convert to regular retirement benefits. If you see any changes or inaccuracies in your new benefits, you should notify the SSA.
