Heart Condition and Kidney Disease

Submitted by Anonymous (not verified) on

I've gone thru two separate coronary bypasses(quad and double). Now I have been diagnosed with stage 3 kidney failure and anemia. I am 60 years old and still currently working for the Fed Gov. I take meds for BP, cholesterol, prostate and anxiety. For the most part, I have my good days and bad days. In someone's opinion, would the combination of these conditions qualify for disability?

Hi everyone

I have a brother (he is in his mid-twenties) who suffered brain damage when he was born. The damage was to his cerebellum, which has resulted in his speech being slurred and his balance and fine motor movement being quite bad.

Today he has achieved a lot in his life. He has a BA in graphic design and a level 8 in Web Development. We live in Ireland.

splenectomy

I had a splenectomy 21 years ago due to primary CMV induced ITP refractory to steroid treatment. I received the preventive vaccines , pneumonia shot, yearly flu shots. Over the past few years I have had sinus infections, eye infections, that last over a month each taking multiple prescriptions to finally clear them. Since april of this year, I have had recurrent sinus infection and severe fatigue and presently have an eye infection that has been going on a month. I just can't stay well. I am an RN on a med/surg floor 13hour night shifts and have missed a lot of work.

over 55 will this make a difference?

I have a question, say someone is 57 and social security feels they can perform" light work" and they have had the same job for 20 years BUT the illness they have now knocks their RFC to light work and now not allow them to do that work any longer.

But their medical issue is listed now as Moderate. But they cannot do their previous work due to their RFC as their previous job was heavy work.

I have Meniere's Disease and have had for almost 5yrs. I was first diagnosed with Bells Palsy and within a week the virus hit my balance nerve in the brain. I was out of work after the first diagnoses from the hospital because i couldn't drive, walk and extremely dizzy and nauseous. My Dr. here sent me to Birmingham, Al to see a specialist, I took the injection in the ear, medication, no salt nothing worked. All the while I could tell I couldn't hear as well. I work for 911 Emerg. Comm. and was missing a lot of work.
