Hi Jazy,
If your child's diabetes seriously affects his development, your child may be eligible for benefits.

I'm 4' 9" 76 yr old female, someone told me I qualify for additional social security payment as I would be classified as a little person, is this true?

Hi Linda,
For retired persons, you would qualify based on your income and resources rather than a disability.

Hi there,
You might not be considered disabled unless your height would cause problems that would lead you to be unable to work.

Hi there,
you may qualify if your condition leads you to earn less than what the SSA considers Substantial Gainful Activity, regardless of your height.

Hi Renae,
I'm sorry to hear that! However, disability benefits are awarded based on ability to work, so if you are able to work at a job you may not be able to be awarded benefits.

Hi Annette,
Your height would not play a role in your disability, but your back problems could help you get approved. If you're unable to earn at least $1,130 per month due to your back pain, you may qualify.

Hi Olga,
If you're entitled to a larger amount based on your spouse's benefits, you may be able to collect that, but not at the same time as your current benefits.
