Direct Deposit

I currently receive SSI for my middle son, it comes to me in the form of a check. How do I get this to be direct deposit into my checking account?

I think you're best bet is to contact the SSA directly and see what they recommend doing. The number is 1-800-772-1213.

I usually get my direct deposit on the first of the month but with April 1st being on a holiday and a Sunday when should I expect it to be in my account?

my ssi check is on 30th of this month and i changed bank march 22 2018 will my ssi check go in new bank account or the old one

My direct deposit is set up and confirmed with the routing and Bank number on a card and it's cleared and posted on the Social Security website why are the benefits not posted in the account yet today is the 30th is the day that I was supposed to get the benefits

Sorry to hear that--there could be a delay. If you don't get it by mid next week, I would check in with the SSA.

Does your back pay get deposited on your direct express card or do you still get a check in the mail?

Hi Charlene,

Payments from the SSA are always via a direct deposit. The SSA does not mail checks anymore.

My direct deposit for my SSDI benefits was not in my account. The direct deposit was scheduled to update to a new account on 4/3. How long does it take before funds are deposited?

Hi Matthew,

Sorry to hear about that. Sometimes there are slight delays. If you do not see it by Friday, notify the SSA.

Ok my son's ssi is direct deposit but its not showing in my account. Says its not a valid account so what happens now?will he receive a paper check or what? I'm not sure why the account closed....
