Does anybody know whether that SSI back pay comes on a certain day of the month? I got my first installment the same week I was approved for SSI it came on the same day I got my first benefit. But I should receive one in January and I'm trying to figure out when I will see it? If anyone has any experience with receiving them in would love to hear about it!
So sorry for all the questions..so does this mean that the ssi back pay installment is going to automatically come on or about the 15th of this month since she received the first installment back on March 15th

You may want to contact the SSA regarding this, I really could not say if it would come exactly on the 15th.

It's really tough to say, there isn't a black and white answer for that. I would recommend regularly checking into the status of your account on the SSA's website.

You may want to check with the SSA regarding that, but it appears you might be approved, if the check came from the SSA.

It may still be in installments, the limit for the first two installments is $2000.

Typically it will be 4 months to get your first check and then the back payments will come in 6 month installments after that.

The first two payments are limited to $2000, and the last installment is the remainder of your check, no mattter how much it is.

I’m curious about back payments...will they automatically deposit funds every 6 months...or do you have to call them...I’m new to this. We received our first installment on 5/11/2017 so I’m guessing the 2nd installment will be 11/11/2017

It's definitely possible. You might want to check back next week with the SSA if you don't get anything today.
