Hi Timothy,

You should be fine if you're making $302! To entire the Trial Work Period, you'd need to around $880 a month rather than the $302.

Hi Jennifer,

It would depend on how much your son earns in a month that includes his SSI benefits and his work program. You may want to speak with a representative from the SSA regarding that.

Hi Angelina,

The amount of hours does not matter. If you earn more than $771 per month, that could trigger a trial work period.

Hi Beverly,

The amount of hours per week does not matter, it's all about how much income you make per month on top of your disability benefits.

Hi Gregory,

If you can't work for at least 12 months because of a condition your are experiencing, you can check the SSA's Blue Book to see if your condition qualifies for disability benefits.

Hi Lonetta,

The amount of hours per month do not factor in affecting your benefits, it's how much you make per month that can.

Hi Tinna,

There is no limit for the hours you can work, but rather a limit on monthly income. If you make more than $880 a month then you will be entered into the Trial Work Period.

Hi Samantha,

As long as you are under $880 a month you won't enter the Trial Work Period or be over the SGA, so you likely won't have anything happen. I would call the SSA just to confirm. Their number is 1-800-772-1213 or visit your local office.

Hi Jimmy,

The number of hours you work does not matter. You just cannot make over $880 a month. If you do, you'll be entered into the Trial Work Period.

Hi Becca,

If you are receiving SSI then your husband income plus your new income from working may affect if. If you are on SSDI, then his income will have no impact but you cannot make more than $880 or you'll enter the trial work period.
