MY online status shows that a decision has been made, but that my application Is under review for accuracy. How long does this review normally take.
It varies on a case by case basis. To help keep the process moving, I would make sure you have sent in all the necessary documents and to monitor if the SSA requests for more information. Best of luck!
Got message on sea website medical decision has been made. I called local office said I was approved at reconsideration level.
Congratulations! More often than not approvals take place at a stage later than the initial application.
I have been waiting almost 5 months for the disibility determination to make a decision. And i found out today that i dont even have a case worker yet. How come?
The length of time it takes for someone to hear an answer varies on a case by case basis. I would make sure there isn't information the SSA needs to help get the ball rolling. As for why you do not have a case worker yet, we're not affiliated with the SSA so that is something we wouldn't have any information on. Best of luck!
Per sss.gov on 1/28/20 denied for ssi but didn’t apply for it. Ssdi decision On 1/30/20 has been made and processed. Approval I hope????
You should receive a letter in the mail stating the decision for your SSDI. If you worked with a lawyer, I would also try calling them as they sometimes find out before you.
I called social security office regarding my claim. I have already had x-rays taken twice and had my physical with the doctor. They said that a decision had been made but it was sent for further review. I’m so confused that this is even an option. Isn’t it that I’m approved or denied? I have birth defects that prevent me from working now that I’m older. I’m frustrated to say the least. Can you give any insight as to why or who it was sent to for approval and does that lean more towards a approval?
There are two parts to a disability claim. The first is medical, the second is the technical qualifications that have to do with work history. It could just be that they are reviewing the technical qualifications. A final decision should be made shortly.
Was told that my ssi claim is under quality review what do that mean
It means they are still trying to determine if you are eligible for benefits.
I flied for reconsideration for my daughter's case back in October, today I was told a decision was made yesterday and information was forwarded to main (in my town) social security office. My home town ss office said that it isn't showing up yet and that I will be receiving a decision letter and/or additional information may be sent... can anyone tell me what this may mean?
When a decision is made, a letter is sent out stating the decision. If your approved, it should give you further instructions. If you were denied it will tell you why and how to appeal.
I applied for SS Disability in October 2019. They received all of my records, and I had to go see a Psychiatrist of their choosing on 2/11/20. I just received an update stating A medical decision has been made and we are working to process your benefit application. What does this mean please?
It means that they have made a decision on if you medically qualify for benefits. They are now likely deciding if you meet the technical criteria (have enough work credits or are under the income limits).
I recently got denied for ssdi not enough qualifing weeks. So I called the auto number only list the ssdi? So I checked the ssi online still shows pending steps 2 of 3 their going through the medical.
SSI and SSDI have the same medical requirements, but they do not have the same technical requirements. Unlike SSDI, SSI does not have a minimum number of work credits, but rather you must be under specific income limits. The SSA may still be checking to see if you are under those limits.
Disability Determination Decision Under Review. Your benefit application is currently under review for processing accuracy. Once the review is complete, we will continue processing your benefit application. What does this mean?
It means they are still determining if you are eligible for disability benefits. Once a decision is made, you should receive a letter in the mail stating the decision.
I called disabilty determination an they said a decision had been made on appeal an is atsocial security office in Lexington. Will they be able to tell me decision
You should receive a letter in the mail once a decision is made! You can also try calling your lawyer, if you worked with one, as they often find out before you.
What does filed mean
It means that your application has been submitted! Best of luck.
Had an hearing schedule for next week said the judge made a decision without the hearing .is it likely to be in my favor my lawyer says it was
Sometimes decisions are made without a hearing. You should receive a letter in the mail soon explaining what the decision was.
Online it says processing for accuracy. What does that mean?
It means they are still determining if you eligible for benefits.
Are SSDI applications being processed during this Covid 19 pandemic?
They are. You can read more here: ssa.gov/coronavirus/
What does this mean?
The Disability Determination Service for your state is processing the medical portion of your benefit application. If they need additional information or evidence from you, they will contact you directly.
It means they are still going over your application to determine if you eligible for benefits. If they need more information to help make a decision, then they will reach out.
I spoke to a representative over the phone to check my claim status all she told me was a decision was made and she couldn't discuss it over the phone that i would have to wait on the letter in the mail. Is this good or bad?
It doesn't indicate either way! Your letter will explain the decision that was made. Best of luck!
SSA.gov indicates determination letter was sent last Friday. How long will it take to receive the letter? Also, the site says "You are receiving disability benefits" Can I assume this means I was approved?
It depends on the mail for how long it takes to get to you. It doesn't mean either way. The SSA sends a letter explaining their decision no matter what. Good luck!
If disability deterenation is processing your medical portion of your application what does that mean
Hi Ms. Hicks,
It means that the SSA is still determining if you are eligible for disability benefits.
Mine Says, Disability Determinations pending.
The Disability Determination Service for your state is processing the medical portion of your benefit application. If they need additional information or evidence from you, They will contact you directly. Has anyone else had this when checking their claim online and have good results? When I first applied in 2018 it didnt show any of this when I checked. My fingers are crossed, I need this so much, I live in constant pain everyday
That means they are still working on your application! Most people get this message when they are processing the application, so it is not telling on if you will be approved or denied. Best of luck!
The Disability Determination Service for your state is processing the medical portion of your appeal. If they need additional information or evidence from you, they will contact you directly.
What’s that mean
It means that they are still working on your claim. They may end up needing additional information to make a decision, so they may contact you for that additional evidence or info.
I got 2 claims in one claim says a decision has been made in the other says disabilty determination is working on the medical portion of your claim. What does this mean?
The first means that they have made a decision on your claim. You should receive a letter in the mail explaining the decision. The second means that they are still deciding if you qualify. SSI and SSDI have different requirements so they may have made a decision about one while still determining if you qualify for the other.
What dose Your disability benefit application is currently processing Mean?
It means that they are still deciding if you meet the requirements for benefits.
