Initial Application

Approved for Medical now waiting to see if I qualify for medical

Submitted by Anonymous (not verified) on

Online it states I'm approved for social security disability. I received a letter stating I was approved for the medical but they have not decided whether I qualify under the non medical rules.
Online it shows I have 2 claims. One for SSDI and one for SSI (Disability). I did not apply for SSI disability but this is what it says under that link:

Decision deadline?

Submitted by Anonymous (not verified) on

I am a 33 yo female. I was diagnosed with bipolar 1 after I was hospitalized in June. My dr has taken me out of work and I have been out of work since.I have applied for ssi/ssdi in July 2017. At the end of september dds called and canceled my ce appointment and told me they made a decision. I called my local office at the end of November and they told me that they had until December 22 to make a decision and to call after that. Has anyone ever heard of this?

Ssdi denied, ssi still pending

Submitted by Anonymous (not verified) on

I just went online today and saw that my ssdi was denied. I filled for ssdi and ssi on the exact same day. I figured my ssdi would be denied since I know that I don't have enough work credits. Yesterday the status on both said that a medical decision has been made and that someone may contact me. Now today the ssdi says denied but the ssi still says the same. What do you think this means?

ADL form

I need advise ASAP. I received my forms about ADLs in the mail Dec. 7 in the evening. The date on the letter has Dec. 5 and states that I must return within 10 days. My question is on the part asking how my conditions/illnesses affect my ability to work. I have read on the internet to provide in detail the answers to the questions but I found a disability advocate and called him. He told me not to do that, just very short answers because its a bait/trap form. So I am confused as to what to write and very little time to get it done.

I applied for ssdi in the past and was denied. I am reapplied a few weeks ago as my conditions have worsened in terms of the impact it has on my daily living. My application has ‘cleared’ from the field office and is now with the determination board in my state. The last time I applied, I received paperwork very quickly from the Determination Board. They wanted to know about my daily function and sent that and some other forms. I was also given the name of my contact there and told to submit any details on new appts, medicines or hospitalizations.

IME Report

I am not quite sure where this should be posted. First time here. I just got a copy of the IME report, yesterday. I am wondering what is usually done when there are contradictory statements in the report (within the same sentences even)?

Examples (from the report):
The claimant can stand and walk up to two hours because of the easy fatigability, severity of the pain, lumbar degenerative disc disease with radiculopathy and failed cervical fusion with recurrent degenerative disc disease with cervicalgia.

Worried how I answered a question on the phone!

After my claim was under medical review for several weeks, someone from the determination office called me twice and left a voicemail both times saying she only had TWO questions: if I was seeing a psychiatrist and, if not, would I see their doctor. She also said I could just leave the info as a message if she didn't answer the phone. So I figured no big deal and called to say I'm OK with seeing a psychiatrist. Then out of nowhere she was just like, "Tell me more about your anxiety and depression..." Well, I freaked out and froze up, just like I would in person.
